FACILE SYNTHESES OF DI-HYDROXY AND AMINO HYDROXY PURINES

Abstract
The syntheses of 2-amino-6-hydroxy-8-( chloroalkyl ) purines and 2,6-dihydroxy-8-( chloroalkyl ) purines are reported. These novel compounds have been characterized using IR, UV» max , m.pt., and elemental analysis. The structural relationships between these compounds and previously used dihydroxy and amminohydroxy purines have also been discussed.
