EXPLOITING SEMANTIC SCHEMA MODEL FOR INTERACTIVE QUERY TRANSFORMATION USING THE MIX FIX FUNCTION

Abstract

This research work presents a concept based query transformation system using a semantic schema modle.  It uses data from University of Agriculture (UNAAB), livestock farm and constructs semantic schema for the database.  A mix fix function is used to derive the query paths, validate the paths and generate results.  The approach allows the users the ability to pose their queries in context-free-grammar and the system does the conversion of the queries in context-free-grammar and the system converts the queries to Structured Query Language (SQL).
