ON RANDOMIZED EXPERT SYSTEM FOR “IFA” (AN AFRICAN TRADITIONAL ORACLE)

Abstract

This paper employs Expert System tools to form a knowledge based “Ifa”. By this, extensive specific knowledge is acquired from the experts (the “Ifa” priests), completed by application of search techniques through randomized codes with   the capability of the system to infer new knowledge from the existing “Ifa” system.  Previous works on experts system were to be named, to know how far work has gone in this area of Artificial Intelligence.  However, the use of knowledge, facts, and reasoning techniques to solve problems of traditional belief in decision making through “Ifa” oracle represent the purpose of the research.  Finally, with the aid of knowledge-based system, final decision from expert adviser or “Ifa’’ .priest consultation may no longer be necessary.
